Staff Product Engineer, Enterprise AI
Why Thunderbird? Thunderbird is one of the world’s most trusted open-source email applications, empowering more than 20 million people globally. At MZLA, the team behind Thunderbird, we build privacy-respecting communication and productivity tools that help people manage their digital lives while staying in control of their data. We are open source by design. Our products are developed transparently and in collaboration with a global community of contributors, and that same spirit shapes how we work: collaboratively, inclusively, and with a shared commitment to putting users first. We are a small but growing company of 60+ people distributed across seven countries. As Thunderbird evolves beyond a single desktop application, we are expanding across desktop, mobile, paid services, and new product experiences that help people and organizations work more effectively without giving up control to big tech ecosystems. Our revenue model combines user donations, which help keep Thunderbird’s apps freely available, with paid services that cover the costs of hosted offerings while supporting long-term sustainability and continued innovation. A note about MZLA and Mozilla: MZLA Technologies Corporation is the nonprofit-owned company behind Thunderbird and part of the Mozilla family. MZLA is separate from Mozilla Corporation and has its own compensation programs, benefits, and employment policies. To learn more, visit www.thunderbird.net and www.thunderbolt.io. The opportunity Thunderbolt is an open-source, cross-platform AI product initiative from the team behind Thunderbird. It is being built around a clear principle: people and organizations should be able to use AI while staying in control of their data, infrastructure, model choices, and long-term options. Thunderbolt is designed to support flexible deployment models, integrations with AI tools and workflows, and use cases across desktop, web, and mobile. We’re looking for a Staff Product Engineer to help build Thunderbolt as it moves from early product development into enterprise use cases. This role sits at the intersection of full-stack product engineering, AI-enabled product development, enterprise workflows, technical execution, product judgment, and post-launch iteration. You’ll work across the stack to turn product direction, user needs, partner feedback, and enterprise requirements into complete product features for AI-powered chat, search, research, workflow automation, administration, integrations, and enterprise workflows. This is not a role focused only on implementing tickets. You’ll own product work from concept through launch, adoption, and iteration, helping the team understand whether features are usable, reliable, being used, and creating value. You should be comfortable operating independently in ambiguity, working across front-end, back-end, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure-adjacent areas, and making thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, usability, maintainability, reliability, and enterprise needs. Strong candidates will be able to turn ambiguous product ideas and technical direction into shipped product experiences, reusable product and engineering patterns, and practical improvements that help Thunderbolt scale as both an open-source product and an enterprise-ready platform. What you’ll do - Own the implementation of Thunderbolt product features from concept through launch, adoption, and iteration. - Translate product vision, user needs, partner feedback, and enterprise requirements into practical technical plans and shipped product experiences. - Work across the stack to build, integrate, test, and ship complete product features. - Build features for AI-powered chat, search, research, workflow automation, administration, integrations, and enterprise workflows. - Partner closely with product, design, engineering, enterprise-facing teams, and open-source contributors to clarify requirements and deliver high-quality outcomes. - Collaborate with senior technical leadership to turn product-shaping technical direction into executable product work. - Use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully to accelerate implementation while maintaining strong judgment around quality, security, maintainability, and reliability. - Make thoughtful technical and product tradeoffs in ambiguous situations, balancing speed, usability, maintainability, reliability, and enterprise needs. - Follow through after launch by reviewing usage, qualitative feedback, support signals, quality issues, and adoption patterns. - Instrument features or collaborate on measurement approaches that help the team understand adoption, reliability, and product value. - Identify product gaps, technical risks, edge cases, and opportunities to improve the user experience. - Write clear, maintainable, well-tested code across front-end, back-end, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure-adjacent areas. - Help establish reusable product and engineering patterns that allow future features to be built more efficiently. - Contribute to a product engineering culture grounded in ownership, quality, experimentation, user value, and practical execution. What you bring - 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience building and shipping production applications with Staff-level scope, leadership, and impact. - Strong full-stack engineering skills, with the ability to work across user interfaces, APIs, services, integrations, data flows, and infrastructure-adjacent areas. - Demonstrated experience owning complex product features from technical planning through implementation, launch, evaluation, and iteration. - Experience building AI-enabled products or features, with practical familiarity in LLMs, RAG, agents, model/provider abstraction, data connectors, retrieval systems, or AI application architecture. - Practical experience evaluating and using multiple AI tools, models, frameworks, or development harnesses, with the ability to explain tradeoffs, limitations, and preferred tooling choices. - Experience working with open-source enterprise products, developer tools, infrastructure products, platform products, or technically complex enterprise software. - Strong product judgment, including the ability to translate product direction, user feedback, partner input, customer needs, and product signals into practical technical plans and follow-up iterations. - Comfort operating independently in a fast-changing product environment where product direction, technical architecture, and enterprise requirements are still being defined. - Strong understanding of software quality, testing, maintainability, security, performance, reliability, and implementation tradeoffs. - Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, design, open-source, and customer- or partner-facing stakeholders. - Awareness of enterprise software needs, including privacy, security, administration, access control, compliance, deployment flexibility, supportability, and responsible AI considerations. Bonus points for - Experience with self-hosted, hybrid, customer-controlled, or regulated deployment environments. - Familiarity with regulatory or compliance considerations affecting AI and enterprise software, such as the EU AI Act, Cyber Resilience Act, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar frameworks. - Experience working with enterprise customers, public sector organizations, systems integrators, technical partners, or customer-facing engineering teams. - Experience contributing to reusable product patterns, component libraries, technical frameworks, or shared engineering practices. - Experience with instrumentation, observability, experimentation, or other approaches to understanding product adoption, reliability, and value. What success looks like In this role, success means helping Thunderbolt turn ambiguous product ideas, technical direction, user needs, and enterprise requirements into complete product capabilities that are usable, reliable, maintainable, and valuable. You will help the team move quickly while also building the patterns, feedback loops, and product quality needed for Thunderbolt to scale as both an open-source product and an enterprise-ready platform. Over time, successful work in this role will lead to: - Shipped features that solve real user, partner, and enterprise needs. - Stronger full-stack product capabilities across AI-powered chat, search, research, workflow automation, administration, integrations, and enterprise workflows. - Clearer technical plans that translate product direction and enterprise requirements into executable work. - Better post-launch understanding of whether features are being used, working as intended, and creating value. - More reusable product and engineering patterns that help future features move faster. - Fewer product gaps, edge cases, and technical risks discovered late in development. - Stronger alignment between product, design, engineering, enterprise-facing teams, and open-source contributors. - Greater confidence that Thunderbolt features are secure, maintainable, supportable, and ready for enterprise use. Work environment You’ll work with our passionate staff and open-source community members from all over the globe to support the mission and objectives of MZLA Technologies Corporation. In this role, you’ll also collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, enterprise-facing teams, contractors, and external contributors working on Thunderbolt. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. About the Role The Metronome AI Native Solutions team operates at the intersection of technical sales, implementation, and customer success, purpose-built for the velocity and unique needs of AI-first companies. Unlike traditional sales engineering roles, this position owns the large parts of if not all of the deal cycle - from first call through technical win - and gets hands-on with implementation to ensure customers go live quickly. As an AI Native Solutions Architect, you'll be the primary technical owner for fast-moving AI companies that may need to launch usage-based billing on tight timelines. This means: Owning the technical win: - Taking qualified inbound leads and driving them through discovery, demo, POC, and technical win - Using efficient discovery to quickly understand billing challenges, product launch timelines, and technical requirements - Bringing energy and urgency to every engagement—proactively driving deals forward, identifying blockers early, and building relationships across the customer organization (engineering, finance, product) to create champions - Running streamlined demos tailored to technical founders and product/engineering teams Driving hands-on implementation: - Providing customers with clear, actionable implementation plans to implement their usage-based billing launches - Writing code snippets, configuration examples, and integration guides to accelerate customer time-to-value - Pair programming or working alongside customer teams during POCs and initial setup - Designing up/downstream integrations into prospect systems with a bias toward pragmatic solutions that get them live quickly Building deep AI market expertise: - Building relationships with technical founders, engineering leaders, product, and finance teams at AI companies - Understanding the unique monetization challenges facing LLM providers, generative AI companies (image, video, audio), and AI tooling/wrapper companies and providing consultative guidance when prospects need direction on pricing and packaging strategy and implementation - Staying current on AI industry trends, pricing models, and competitive dynamics This role is perfect for someone who thrives in high-velocity environments, loves solving technical problems in real-time, and wants to be on the front lines of how AI companies monetize their products. Metronome directly influences how the next generation of AI infrastructure gets built—and our AI Native Solutions team drives this influence with our fastest-growing customer segment. The Metronome team still operates very much like a startup. As such, there's a lot still to figure out and tremendous room for high-agency, curious individuals to impact our direction and strategy, build processes from zero to one, and generally make a difference. If this excites you as much as it excites us, let's talk. Qualifications This is roughly the set of things we’re looking for - if you’re interested in this role and don’t meet some of these on paper, err on the side of applying! - 3+ years of experience in technical, customer-facing roles involving SaaS products (for example, sales engineering, solutions architecture, technical account management, implementation consulting) - 1+ years of experience working with, at, or selling to AI companies - you understand how AI-first companies operate, their unique challenges, and the market landscape - Proven ability to own and drive customer-facing engagements and relationships independently - Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new systems, write code snippets, and guide technical implementations - Experience working in high-velocity environments where speed-to-value matters and customers need to launch quickly - Excellent communication skills with technical buyers (engineers, product managers, technical founders) Bonus Points - Deep knowledge of the quote-to-cash space, including integrating with or otherwise interacting with tools like Salesforce, NetSuite, CPQs, etc. - Experience as a software engineer, product manager, or in other technical roles. - Experience in a pure sales role, particularly selling to technical buyers in engineering and product organizations or selling as a founding or early salesperson at a startup. - Familiarity and enthusiasm for AI developer tooling (Cursor, Lovable, Vercel, LangChain, etc.) and the broader AI infrastructure ecosystem

Program Manager, Strategic Futures
ABOUT THE TEAM The Strategic Futures team is a small, research- and writing-focused group exploring how advanced AI could reshape public policy, institutions, and society over the long term. We operate like an internal think tank: developing clear views of desirable long-range outcomes, examining the choices that could make those outcomes more likely, and producing ideas that help OpenAI and the broader public navigate profound technological change. The team is intentionally lean and highly collaborative. Our work draws from public policy, law, economics, political science, history, institutional design, technology, and other relevant disciplines. We partner closely with experts across OpenAI to connect long-range thinking with evolving AI capabilities, organizational priorities, and real-world policy questions. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a highly organized and strategic operator to serve as Chief of Staff and Program Manager for the Strategic Futures team. Working closely with the team’s leader, you will translate broad priorities into coordinated execution, establish the systems and operating rhythms that keep a small team performing at a high level, and ensure important work moves forward with clarity and consistency. This is a hands-on role combining chief-of-staff partnership, program management, strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, and communications. You will make it easier for the team to focus on high-quality research and writing by ensuring priorities are clear, decisions are documented, dependencies are visible, collaborators are engaged, and follow-through is reliable. You will also serve as a central connector between Strategic Futures and teams across OpenAI, helping the group build trusted relationships, navigate organizational complexity, and contribute effectively to broader company priorities. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: - Partner closely with the leader of Strategic Futures to translate the team’s strategic direction into clear priorities, operating plans, and concrete deliverables. - Own team-wide planning and execution across research projects, publications, cross-functional collaborations, public-facing work, and special initiatives. - Convert open-ended goals into structured workplans with clear outcomes, owners, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and decision points. - Develop and maintain lightweight operating systems, including team roadmaps, project trackers, meeting cadences, decision logs, risk registers, and publication or launch plans. - Establish operating rhythms that give the team appropriate visibility and accountability without creating unnecessary process. - Coordinate work across Global Affairs, Legal, Research, product policy, safety, preparedness, Communications, and other relevant teams. - Build productive relationships with internal partners and help ensure Strategic Futures has a clear and consistent presence across the organization. - Prepare executive-ready briefings, strategic updates, presentations, agendas, decision documents, talking points, and other written materials. - Plan and run effective team and cross-functional meetings, ensuring participants are prepared, decisions are captured, and action items are completed. - Anticipate potential bottlenecks, gaps, and competing priorities, and proactively develop solutions that keep work moving. - Maintain visibility across the team’s portfolio and help the team leader make informed prioritization and resource-allocation decisions. - Coordinate internal review and approval processes for research, publications, presentations, and other public-facing work. - Support external engagements, convenings, and public communication when appropriate. - Develop AI-enabled workflows that improve project management, knowledge sharing, information synthesis, coordination, and team effectiveness. - Help define and evolve the team’s operating model, norms, and ways of working as Strategic Futures grows. YOU MIGHT THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU: - Have 5 or more years of experience in chief-of-staff roles, program management, strategic operations, research operations, consulting, policy, communications, or a related field. - Have demonstrated success driving complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, functions, and competing priorities. - Bring exceptional organizational skills and the ability to create clarity, momentum, and accountability in an ambiguous environment. - Can move fluidly between strategic questions and detailed execution, from helping shape a team-wide priority to ensuring the next meeting has the right pre-read and decision-maker. - Know when a new process or system will improve execution—and when it would simply add unnecessary overhead. - Are energized by helping highly independent researchers and writers do their best work. - Are an excellent writer and synthesizer who can turn complex discussions into clear decisions, plans, briefings, and communications. - Build trusted relationships across policy, legal, communications, product, safety, and technical research teams. - Can engage credibly with subject-matter experts without needing to be the deepest expert in every discipline. - Exercise excellent judgment and discretion when working on sensitive, high-visibility, or still-developing initiatives. - Proactively identify what needs to happen next rather than waiting for detailed direction. - Bring high ownership, strong attention to detail, low ego, and a consistent bias toward action. - Are comfortable operating in a fast-moving organization where priorities may evolve as AI capabilities and external conditions change. - Have strong interest in advanced AI and its long-term implications for public policy, governance, institutions, and society. - Are proficient with AI tools and can apply them thoughtfully to operational workflows, research synthesis, knowledge management, and coordination. IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU: - Have worked in AI policy, emerging technology, government, public affairs, a think tank, a research organization, or another intellectually intensive environment. - Have supported a senior leader while simultaneously owning a broader portfolio of programs and team operations. - Have experience coordinating research publications, external communications, public events, or other high-visibility outputs. - Have helped establish or scale the operating model of a new team, organization, or function. - Are familiar with the organizational and policy questions surrounding advanced AI. Engineering Manager, Client Platform Engineering
About the Team OpenAI’s Client Platform Engineering (CPE) team delivers trusted devices at scale: secure by default, reliable by design, and effortless to use. We own platform capabilities across macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, and Linux, spanning endpoint posture and device trust, application delivery, onboarding, updates, telemetry, workflow orchestration, and employee-facing remediation. The team partners deeply with Security, Research, Applied, and specialized engineering groups to enable and protect OpenAI while reducing friction for the people advancing our mission. About the Role As an Engineering Manager for CPE, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for the strategy, delivery, and operation of OpenAI’s cross-platform client foundation. You will combine people leadership with strong technical judgment: setting direction, developing engineers, reviewing architecture and tradeoffs, and creating the operating mechanisms that turn ambiguous needs into durable platform outcomes. This is a high-leverage role at the intersection of security, reliability, developer velocity, and employee experience. CPE is a highly technical platform engineering organization delivering first-party services, automation, observability, and safe fleet operations. We’re looking for a leader who can guide its next chapter, scaling the team and its systems, partnering across the company, and raising the bar for secure, reliable, low-friction experiences across every supported platform. In this role, you will: - Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team; hire thoughtfully, coach engineers, create clarity, and foster an inclusive, high-accountability culture that pushes perceived limits. - Define and execute a multi-year client-platform strategy and roadmap across macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, and Linux, including how Codex and agents can reshape employee computing. - Provide technical direction for endpoint posture, device trust, application delivery, device onboarding, updates, fleet telemetry, workflow orchestration, and employee-facing remediation. Decide what to build, buy, standardize, retire, or redesign as AI changes what the platform can do. - Establish clear goals, ownership, planning, design reviews, and execution rhythms that let the team move quickly without sacrificing quality. - Raise the bar for reliability and evidence-backed security through observability, drift detection, staged rollouts, release gates, rollback paths, incident learning, runbooks, and healthy operational ownership. Use telemetry to see friction, measure outcomes, and improve before issues become tickets. - Partner with Security, IT, Research, Applied, Product, and specialized engineering teams to align priorities and land company-wide changes, dogfood OpenAI products in real employee workflows, and continuously improve internal platforms. - Balance strong security and compliance controls with developer velocity, employee experience, and operational simplicity. Define where agents can act, where humans approve, and how actions are evaluated, audited, and reversed. - Use adoption, reliability, evidence-backed security posture, data freshness, employee experience, workflow completion, friction, agent effectiveness, and operational-load metrics to steer investment and communicate impact. - Partner with IT and Security teams to compound CPE’s impact across employee experience, security posture, and operational scale. You may be a fit for this role if you have: - Built and led teams that owned secure, reliable, mission critical services and infrastructure at scale, from strategy through production operations. - Delivered internal platforms, tooling, and services that materially improved reliability, security, and employee experience. - Made sound software and infrastructure engineering decisions at scale. Deep endpoint expertise is strongly preferred. - Raised production readiness through direct technical review of architecture, automation, code, IaC/GitOps, CI/CD, observability, and operational tradeoffs. - Operated infrastructure with material security or identity risk through staged rollouts, incidents, and decisions that balanced risk, compliance, and employee or developer experience. - Committed to joining the team’s engineering on call rotation after ramp up and using firsthand operational context to improve reliability and reduce toil. - Built inclusive teams that do excellent work, communicated with clarity and candor, and influenced partners across Security, IT, and Product/Engineering. You might thrive in this role if you have: - Deep experience with one or more client-platform tool ecosystems such as Jamf, Intune, Android Enterprise, FleetDM/osquery, Munki/AutoPkg, or Linux configuration management. - Experience building internal platforms or services for app delivery, device posture/trust, onboarding, notifications, workflow orchestration, or fleet telemetry. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, Terraform, Kubernetes/containers, service orchestration, and large-scale observability. - Experience partnering with security, compliance, or privacy teams in high-assurance environments. - Experience supporting research, developer, robotics, hardware-lab, or other specialized computing environments. - A record of contributing to open-source tooling, engineering communities, or cross-company technical standards. We do this across the whole company—from engineering to growth to operations. - Excellence everywhere: Everything we do should match the quality of our AI models. - Global team: We prioritize your talent, not your location. WHAT WE OFFER - Innovative culture: You’ll be part of a generational opportunity to define the trajectory of AI, surrounded by a team pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. - Growth paths: Joining ElevenLabs means joining a dynamic team with countless opportunities to drive impact - beyond your immediate role and responsibilities. - Learning & development: ElevenLabs proactively supports professional development through an annual discretionary stipend. - Social travel: We also provide an annual discretionary stipend to meet up with colleagues each year, however you choose. - Annual company offsite: Each year, we bring the entire team together in a new location - past offsites have included Croatia and Italy. - Co-working: If you’re not located near one of our main hubs, we offer a monthly co-working stipend. ABOUT THE ROLE As the Corporate Account Manager Lead, you'll lead a team of Account Managers across our highest-velocity, highest-volume post-sales segment. You'll balance people leadership, strategic direction, and hands-on customer impact - driving excellence in post-sales outcomes and ensuring your team consistently delivers measurable value across a large, fast-moving book of accounts. This is a revenue-critical role at an inflection point: ElevenLabs is scaling fast, and Corporate is where that scale shows up first - more accounts, more velocity, and less room for anything that doesn't repeat well. The decisions you make around segmentation, playbook design, and how AI agents and automation get embedded into everyday AM workflows will define how this motion performs as volume keeps growing. Making ElevenAgents the agent of choice across the Corporate portfolio is a core part of that expansion playbook. You will: - Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Corporate Account Management team, owning team quota performance, retention, expansion, and cross sell goals across a high-volume book of business. - Drive revenue outcomes as a core mandate - building a team culture where expansions and cross-sells are owned with the same rigor as any quota-carrying sales function. - Design and implement repeatable, scalable playbooks for renewals, expansion, and adoption that hold up across hundreds of accounts, not just a handful. - Embed AI agents and automation into AM workflows by default, so the team can manage growing volume without simply adding headcount. - Champion AI fluency across the team: set expectations, build capability, and create an environment where every AM is actively experimenting with and adopting AI-powered approaches to their work. - Set strategic direction for how the Corporate segment is structured and staffed as the business scales, partnering closely with RevOps, Comp/Finance, and CX leadership. - Represent the voice of the customer in leadership discussions, influencing roadmap, tooling, and revenue strategy. REQUIREMENTS - 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Sales, Customer Success, or post-sales roles within SaaS, ideally with meaningful exposure to high-volume, transactional or corporate-segment books of business. - Proven track record of owning and exceeding revenue targets (renewals, expansion, NRR/GRR, cross sell), with a clear commercial instinct. - 2+ years of direct people leadership experience - managing AMs/CSMs, driving team quota, and developing talent through coaching and enablement. Passion for building a high-performance, feedback-driven culture grounded in accountability and customer impact. - Deep AI fluency: you use AI tools in your own daily workflow, understand what AI agents and automation can do, and are ready to lead a team through a meaningful shift in how work gets designed and executed. - Strong player-coach mindset: comfortable managing accounts directly while leading others to excel in their own portfolios. - Expertise in post-sales methodologies and best practices (e.g. success planning, adoption frameworks, ROI storytelling) adapted for a high-volume, scaled motion. - Strategic operational thinking: able to make sound calls on segmentation, playbook design, and process at scale as account volume grows. - Strong analytical and operational skills: adept at using data to identify performance trends, optimize workflows, and forecast outcomes across a large book. - Bonus: Hands-on with tools (ElevenLabs, Salesforce, Gong, Lemlist, Sigma) and capable of improving data quality, visibility, and usage insights across the team. LOCATION This role is remote-first, so it can be executed from anywhere in the U.S., with the ability to operate between GMT-4 and GMT-7 timezones required. We'd love for you to be based in New York or San Francisco where you can work out of our office, but it's not a requirement. We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability or other legally protected statuses. Technical Program Manager, Storage & Data Infrastr...
About the Team OpenAI's data and storage infrastructure spans data platforms, online databases, and file/object storage. These systems underpin data ingestion and processing, durable persistence, indexing and retrieval, and product file experiences. As frontier models and agents evolve how they use memory, history and snapshots, the underlying architecture increasingly shapes the capabilities products can deliver—and their latency, reliability, cost and efficiency. About the Role We are looking for a technically deep TPM to independently define and lead multiple programs across data platforms, online databases and storage infrastructure. You will connect model, product and data-consumer requirements to architecture, and work with the relevant engineering teams to take new capabilities through production adoption and repeatable expansion. The design scope is exabyte-scale storage and infrastructure spanning multiple millions of CPU cores. The challenge is not simply forecasting more resources: it is making complete, workload-ready capacity repeatable, with a clear path from product requirements through architecture, deployment and validation. A data pipeline, database query, file operation or execution snapshot can affect whether a product or agent succeeds; you will connect those outcomes to the systems underneath. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: - Translate model, product and data-platform needs into precise access patterns, consistency, durability, freshness, availability and scalability requirements. Connect memory, history, retrieval and resumable work to capability and end-to-end latency. - Partner with engineering to transform data and storage architecture into repeatable scale units: standardized provisioning, placement, routing, data movement and readiness checks that bring storage, compute and networking online together. Tie each expansion to the workloads it can serve. - Lead cross-stack programs connecting ingestion and processing, databases and indexes, and file/object storage. Make data ownership, schema compatibility, change-data-capture, replay and consumer-readiness contracts explicit so the full data path remains correct and usable. - Make cost and efficiency architectural inputs. Evaluate physical versus logical footprint, index and replication amplification, redundant copies, tiering, caching and network movement against the cost of serving useful workloads. - Drive resilience and recovery programs with explicit failure scenarios and validation. Distinguish database backup, failover and point-in-time recovery from execution/workspace save-and-restore; verify correctness, recovery time, safe resumption and isolation from live traffic. - Coordinate lifecycle correctness across files, objects, databases and data platforms, including metadata, retention, deletion and snapshots. Incorporate privacy, access control, auditability and residency requirements into the design and consumer contracts. - Lead adoption and major migrations through compatibility checks, representative workload testing, staged cutovers, rollback and operational handoff. Improve APIs, guardrails and self-service so new capacity and capabilities can be consumed predictably. - Measure architecture changes through product and platform outcomes: task completion and continuity, data freshness, query/retrieval and snapshot latency, throughput, reliability and cost/efficiency. Use those results to drive durable performance and operational improvements. You might thrive in this role if you: - Have independently owned complex production programs in data platforms, databases or storage infrastructure and can explain the architectural decisions, your contribution and the resulting impact. - Have deep working knowledge of hyperscaler/cloud storage technologies, such as Amazon S3 or Azure Blob Storage, including their performance, placement, resiliency and cost constraints. - Understand the full data and storage stack: product access patterns and APIs; ingestion and processing; databases, storage engines and indexes; caching, replication and data movement; and the durable-storage, CPU and network layers that support them. - Can translate model, product and data-consumer needs into precise platform requirements, challenge assumptions and define evidence that a capability, recovery path or scaling change is ready. - Have led delivery across product, model, data, database, storage and infrastructure teams, especially where no single team owns the end-to-end result. - Can use workload evidence to make tradeoffs across capability, correctness, reliability, latency and cost/efficiency, and build mechanisms that improve decisions as requirements change. - Communicate complex decisions clearly and maintain ownership through production adoption, not only a launch milestone. Business Systems Analyst, New Product Introduction
About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role We launch new products, models and pricing often, and each launch has to work in our systems on day one. A seller needs to be able to quote it, Deal Desk needs to be able to approve it, billing needs to charge for it correctly, and Finance needs to report on it. This role owns how a launch gets into our quote-to-cash systems, from the first pricing conversation to the first invoice. We are looking for someone who treats every launch as a change across many systems. You will join launch planning early, work out what has to change across catalog, quoting, contracts, billing, tax and reporting, and get all of it ready before the launch date. You will build a good part of the Salesforce work yourself and partner with our Salesforce developers and Billing Engineering on the rest. You will be the named owner of the NPI process for systems, and the person Product, Pricing and Finance call when they want to know what it takes to launch something. We are an AI-first systems team. You will use Claude as a normal part of how you design, build, test and document, and you will look for ways to make launches faster and more repeatable with AI. Key responsibilities - Own the systems side of new product and pricing launches, from the first pricing discussion through launch day and the first billing cycle - Turn a pricing and packaging decision into concrete system changes: SKUs, price books, bundles, discount and approval rules, contract terms, billing plans, tax codes and reporting - Build and run a repeatable NPI playbook: intake, a readiness checklist, sign-offs, a launch calendar and a post-launch review - Join launch planning early with Product and Pricing. Push back on pricing ideas that cannot be quoted, billed or reported cleanly, and offer options that can - Design how new pricing models work end to end, including usage-based, seat-based, tiered, committed and multi-year ramp pricing, and which system is the source of truth for each part - Plan the impact on existing customers: moving customers to new SKUs, grandfathering, amendments and co-termination, and how renewals will work - Own end-of-sale and retirement of products and prices, so old SKUs leave the catalog without breaking renewals, billing or reporting - Coordinate the changes across Salesforce, billing and our tax platform, working with the teams who own each system - Partner with Deal Desk, Sales, Finance, Accounting, Tax and Legal so each team signs off on what changes for them before launch - Make sure sellers and Deal Desk are ready on launch day, including quote templates, approval paths, guidance and enablement - Check every launch after it goes live: do quotes, orders, invoices and Finance reports match? Add the control or reconciliation that catches the gaps - Build and ship declarative solutions yourself where that is the right call, and write specs clear enough that developers can build the rest without several rounds of questions - Use AI to shorten launch cycles, for example generating catalog changes from a pricing spec, checking launch readiness, and testing quote and billing scenarios Minimum qualifications - Experience in GTM or revenue systems as a Business Systems Analyst, Q2C Systems Lead or similar role, with hands-on ownership of product and pricing launches - Experience launching new products or pricing models at a fast-growing company, owning the change across catalog, quoting, contracts and billing - Hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud or a similar CPQ tool, especially product and pricing data models, price books, bundles and approval rules - Working understanding of how a pricing decision flows into bookings, invoicing, tax and revenue recognition - Experience running a cross-functional process with many sign-offs (Product, Finance, Legal, Sales) and getting to launch on a fixed date - Hands-on Salesforce admin skills (Flow, validation rules, page layouts, approval processes) and comfort building meaningful parts of your own solution - Clear communication across Product, sellers, Deal Desk, Finance, Legal and engineers, adjusting the level of detail for each Preferred qualifications - Experience in GTM, revenue or finance systems roles - Experience with usage-based or consumption pricing, and with billing platforms such as Stripe, Metronome or Zuora - Experience moving existing customers onto new pricing, including migrations, grandfathering and amendments at scale - Experience with tax setup for new products (tax codes, tax engines such as Anrok or Avalara) - Experience with integrations between Salesforce and billing, ERP or provisioning systems, and comfort reading API payloads and integration logs - Basic SQL and comfort using a data warehouse to check launch data - Salesforce Administrator certification. CPQ Specialist, Advanced Administrator or Business Analyst certification is a plus - Hands-on use of AI tools (Claude or similar) in how you design, build or document systems, and the ability to explain how you check their output The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $270,000 - $315,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. Senior Backend Engineer, Enterprise Billing Platfo...
ABOUT US At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale. With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world. Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater. About the Team The Enterprise Readiness team builds the systems that allow large organizations to securely adopt and scale LangChain in production. Within that team, this role sits on the billing and monetization pod, responsible for the pricing infrastructure that powers how LangChain charges for usage across every product, from simple per-trace billing to complex, configurable enterprise pricing models. LangChain is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer, Enterprise Monetization Infrastructure to rebuild and scale the systems behind how we price and bill for usage. Today's billing pipeline gets the job done. The next step is making it a genuine strength: a flexible, self-serve platform that lets any team at LangChain launch a new pricing model in days instead of weeks, without needing to understand the internals. This is a high-impact, newly formed role reporting into the Enterprise Readiness team. You'll partner closely with the billing PM, enterprise engineering, and product teams across LangChain to define the primitives and architecture that make pricing fast, flexible, and accurate at scale, including the added complexity of usage-based and token-based pricing for AI products. Location: In-person 5 days/week in San Francisco. What You'll Do - Rearchitect LangChain's billing pipeline into a self-serve platform, building the primitives and components other engineering teams use to launch new pricing models without needing enterprise team review - Design and implement usage-based and token-based pricing infrastructure (Python/Go), including complex, configurable pricing logic beyond simple per-unit charging - Build the underlying system that will eventually power an internal agent and skills interface, letting teams describe a pricing model and go live in days instead of weeks - Reduce the code and complexity required to ship a new pricing SKU through better abstractions and shared components - Implement audit logging, usage tracking, and metering pipelines tied to billing accuracy, with a focus on correctness as pricing complexity increases - Integrate with billing and payment platforms (e.g. Metronome, Orb, or Stripe) to support metering and invoicing - Own billing reconciliation, deduplication, and edge cases like proration, disputes, and credits to ensure invoicing accuracy at scale - Partner with the billing PM and enterprise engineering to define and prioritize the pricing infrastructure roadmap - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented backend code What You'll Bring - Technical experience - 5+ years of backend engineering experience with Python or Go (both preferred) - Hands-on experience building or scaling usage-based, subscription, or consumption billing infrastructure - Experience with metering, invoicing, or pricing-model logic, ideally including work that let other teams configure or launch pricing changes themselves rather than requiring custom engineering per change - Familiarity with Postgres, Redis, APIs, and modern distributed backend infrastructure - Strong ownership mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced, unstructured startup environments Nice to Have - Experience with token-based or usage-based cost tracking, especially from LLM/API-first companies Compensation - Annual salary range: $175,000- $240,000 Compensation Philosophy: We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks. Actual compensation and offerings will vary based on role, level, and location. Team members in the EU, UK, and APAC receive locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations. BENEFITS Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, meals on in-office days in the US and more.

Lead, Security Controls Assurance - SOX
About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic's Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team is the connective tissue that holds the company accountable to its security and control commitments. We translate regulatory, customer, and voluntary obligations into controls that teams act on, and give leadership a bird's-eye view of how well we're meeting them. We're building toward continuous assurance, to challenge and evidence the performance of controls continuously rather than through periodic audits. As Anthropic prepares for life as a public company, the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control environment over our technology stack is one of the most consequential things this team owns. As part of Security GRC's technical controls assurance function, you will be the voice on what the IT general controls must achieve to support SOX 404 compliance. In partnership with Internal Audit, you will define control requirements and acceptance criteria for the in-scope engineering systems and infrastructure that underpin financial reporting. You will pair with engineering as they design and implement against those requirements, and validate that what ships actually meets the bar before Internal Audit and our external auditors test it. You are the product owner for control design methodology and continuous control monitoring, initially around ITGCs, but extending into other areas of security and compliance to drive visibility where and when we need it. Key responsibilities - Define control requirements and acceptance criteria across the core ITGC domains of logical access, change management, computer operations, and program development for SOX in-scope systems, including home-built platforms where the control has to be designed into the system rather than bolted on. - Set the bar for in-scope systems from day one. As financially significant systems are built, migrated, or replaced, define what the system must provide (auditability, segregation of duties, change control, immutable logging, evidence retention) before go-live, so controls are not retrofitted after the fact. - Pressure-test changes for SOX impact during design. Review major infrastructure, system, and agent framework changes for control impact while decisions are still cheap, and maintain a clear view of which changes alter the SOX scope, key control population, or evidence requirements. - Own second-line control monitoring and evidence readiness. Stand up continuous controls monitoring and automated evidence collection for ITGCs (control testing, walkthrough preparation, population and completeness validation, and mapping to the common controls framework). Materially raise automated evidence coverage and cut audit prep time. - Drive control deficiency remediation with cross functional partners. Track and root-cause ITGC deficiencies surfaced by monitoring, Internal Audit, or external audit; partner with engineering owners on remediation design; and assess whether remediation actually closes the gap before re-testing. - Assess scope changes through a SOX lens. When new products, entities, systems, or integrations come into scope, provide technical and compliance assessment of their impact on control design, evidence requirements, and engineering effort before commitments are made. - Maintain alignment with the broader compliance portfolio. Where SOX ITGCs overlap with SOC 2, ISO 27001/42001, or other frameworks, ensure controls are designed once and evidenced once, and that changes made for one framework do not silently break another. Minimum qualifications - Thrive at the pace of a hypergrowth company. You're comfortable making calls with incomplete information and reprioritizing as scope shifts. - Have led or been a senior contributor to an ITGC program through SOX 404 readiness and/or at a public company, with a working command of PCAOB AS 2201, COSO 2013, and how external auditors scope, test, and evaluate technology controls and deficiencies. - Have genuine engineering fluency, possibly from an earlier engineering career: you can read code and Terraform, follow a CI/CD pipeline end to end, and challenge a design on its technical merits. - Have programming skills in Python or at least one systems language such as Go, Rust, or C/C++. - Have deep familiarity with developer platform, release engineering, cloud infrastructure, or ERP/financial systems control domains. - Understand the role of the second line: you can advise and challenge engineering without taking ownership of their controls, and you know where the line sits between your monitoring and Internal Audit's independent testing. - Are a strong collaborator and communicator across Finance, Engineering, Internal Audit, and external auditors. - Use Claude and other LLMs as daily working tools, and have grounded, specific views on which SOX assurance workflows AI can run today and which it can't yet. - Translate SOX and framework language into acceptance criteria engineers can build against, and translate engineering reality back into assurance language auditors and leadership can rely on. - Default to getting the requirement designed into the system rather than papering over the gap with procedure. Preferred qualifications - A combination of audit or advisory experience (Big 4 or equivalent, ideally IT audit) with in-house experience at an AI-forward tech company, in either order. - Taken a company through a first-year SOX 404(a) and 404(b) assessment, including a first external ITGC audit. - Defined or assessed controls over home-built financially significant systems, usage-based billing, or revenue metering pipelines. - Defined or assessed controls for AI/ML systems or agents acting in production environments. - Stood up continuous controls monitoring or automated evidence programs. - Experience with SOC 1 reliance, service organization control mapping, and complementary user entity controls. - CISSP, CISA, CPA, or equivalent certification. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL - Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team of Applied AI Engineers supporting large and complex enterprise customers. - Own the quality and impact of the team’s work across solution design, implementation, production readiness, adoption, and expansion. - Coach the team through decisions involving architecture, model selection, evaluations, reliability, latency, safety, security, governance, and cost. - Establish an operating model for prioritizing accounts and engagements according to customer needs, strategic value, technical complexity, and potential for repeatable impact. - Serve as a senior technical escalation point during critical launches, production incidents, complex integrations, and high-stakes customer decisions. - Partner with customer executives and technical leaders to connect implementation decisions to measurable business and operational outcomes. - Help customers progress from experimentation to production systems and sustained adoption across their organizations. - Partner closely with Sales and Solutions Engineering to create continuity throughout the customer lifecycle and maintain shared accountability for customer success. - Translate customer needs and recurring implementation challenges into actionable feedback for Product, Research, Engineering, Security, and other internal teams. - Identify scalable market patterns, distinguish them from bespoke requests, and advocate for investments that can benefit multiple customers. - Develop reusable architectures, evaluation methods, playbooks, tooling, and enablement that improve time to value across the enterprise portfolio. - Establish mechanisms for measuring production implementations, adoption, customer outcomes, delivery quality, team capacity, and the impact of reusable work. - Hire thoughtfully, raise the technical and leadership bar, and foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning. - Represent OpenAI with credibility and sound judgment in conversations with senior customer and internal stakeholders. YOU MIGHT THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU - Have significant experience managing customer-facing technical teams, such as Applied AI Engineers, Solutions Architects, Forward Deployed Engineers, Customer Engineers, or Technical Account Managers. - Have built or led teams responsible for implementing complex software, data, machine learning, or AI systems in enterprise environments. - Maintain sufficient technical depth to evaluate architectures, ask incisive questions, challenge assumptions, and coach engineers through difficult implementation decisions. - Have experience taking AI, machine learning, or other technically complex systems from prototype to production. - Understand production-system requirements, including reliability, observability, security, privacy, data governance, evaluation, and operational readiness. - Have led teams through ambiguity, competing priorities, escalations, and rapidly evolving products or markets. - Can translate effectively among technical details, customer needs, product strategy, and business outcomes. - Have worked with large organizations involving multiple business units, stakeholder groups, procurement processes, or governance requirements. - Demonstrate strong executive presence and can build trust with engineering leaders, business executives, security teams, and other senior stakeholders. - Have designed operating models, coverage strategies, prioritization frameworks, or repeatable delivery processes for a growing technical organization. - Are a strong cross-functional partner who can navigate disagreement directly while maintaining trust and shared accountability. - Use data and clear principles to allocate limited resources across a large portfolio of opportunities. - Care deeply about developing people and have a track record of coaching team members, raising performance, and building inclusive teams. - Are energized by helping organizations adopt frontier AI responsibly and turn emerging capabilities into durable value. Customer Success Manager, Beneficial Deployments -...
About the role Join Anthropic as a Customer Success Manager supporting our Beneficial Deployments team's initiatives in Life Sciences. As a Customer Success Manager for Life Sciences, you’ll be a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the world's leading organizations working to accelerate scientific discovery. You will help them harness the full potential of Claude's capabilities across the API, Claude for Enterprise, Claude Code, and Claude Science to accelerate their scientific work. This is a hybrid role that blends deep 1:1 account management with scaled, one-to-many programs. You'll own a portfolio of named strategic accounts, such as research institutes, academic medical centers, scientific foundations, and mission-driven biotech, where you'll build genuine partnerships grounded in a deep understanding of their research mission, scientific objectives, programmatic goals, and technical capacity. You will help these organizations scale their usage effectively drive model and use case optimization, implement change management strategies, and maximize the value of their investment through expanded use cases across their organization. Alongside that portfolio, you'll design and run a handful of one-to-many engagement programs, including webinars, hackathons, cohort-based enablement, and researcher communities, that extend Claude's impact across the broader life sciences ecosystem well beyond any single partner relationship. The insights you gather from these partnerships will directly inform our research priorities, product development (including how Claude for Life Sciences evolves), and strategies for beneficial AI deployment, making you a key voice in shaping how we build and deliver AI systems that accelerate science for the benefit of society. Key responsibilities: - Build trusting, strategic relationships with research leaders, principal investigators, program directors, and IT teams to understand their organizational goals, scientific priorities, and impact objectives, identifying opportunities for optimization and expanded AI deployment in service of their research mission - Become an expert in Anthropic's products across the API, Claude for Enterprise, Claude Code, and Claude for Life Sciences (including scientific tool integrations and agent skills), understanding the technical nuances and best practices for each to guide partners to the right solutions - Monitor usage patterns and proactively drive adoption across your 1:1 accounts, identifying optimization opportunities and discovering new applications for Claude - Develop and execute change management strategies appropriate for scientific and academic organizational cultures, driving adoption through Train the Trainer programs, Center of Excellence development, and organizational enablement that respects partner capacity constraints, governance requirements, and decision-making processes - Establish the repeatable playbooks, templates, and health metrics that define what "great" looks like for both dedicated and scaled customer success in life sciences at Anthropic - Design and run one-to-many engagement programs for the life sciences community, such as live and on-demand webinars, hackathons and build days, cohort-based onboarding, office hours, and researcher user communities, that move a broad set of organizations from signed to activated and extend impact beyond individual partner relationships - Guide partners through the technical and governance foundation for launch, including SSO and provisioning, workspace configuration, and data handling considerations relevant to research and health data (such as HIPAA, IRB, and institutional data policies), so research and IT leaders trust the deployment from day one - Document and quantify value realized through research productivity, time-to-insight, program effectiveness, cost savings, and mission amplification to build compelling cases for continued investment in AI, and partner with Marketing to develop success stories and reference accounts You may be a good fit if you have: - 6+ years of experience in Customer Success, Technical Account Management, or Solutions Engineering - 3+ years of experience in life sciences research with ample exposure to the intersection of new technologies as a catalyst for accelerating progress - Experience working directly with life sciences organizations, such as academic research institutions, nonprofit research institutes, foundations, biotech, or pharma, and familiarity with how scientific research is conducted, funded, and governed. - Deep understanding of regulations, risk, and compliance needs of the industry - Experience driving success across both consumption-based and seat-based business models, with understanding of different expansion levers and success metrics for each - Experience designing and delivering one-to-many customer programs (webinars, hackathons, cohort-based onboarding, user communities, or similar) alongside managing dedicated strategic accounts - Operate data-driven and AI-first, using adoption signals and program effectiveness to guide decisions and building agentic, Claude-powered workflows into how you engage partners, so the scaled motion runs on automation rather than heroics and your time goes where it does the most public good - Technical fluency with the ability to understand and articulate AI/ML concepts, API integrations, and software implementation patterns; familiarity with scientific data types, research workflows, or bioinformatics tooling is a strong plus - Experience explaining and demonstrating technical products to diverse audiences, from bench scientists and computational researchers to institutional leadership - Strategic mindset to identify growth opportunities for expanded scientific and health impact and translate them into actionable expansion plans - Passion for both AI and accelerating scientific progress, with strong interest in ensuring frontier AI systems are developed safely, ethically, and deployed to benefit society - A knack for bringing order to chaos and an enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality.
